If a woman and her child are living with someone charged with a sex offense, can her child be taken from her?

My friend is married to a man and has a daughter that is not his. He has been charged but not yet convicted of 4 sex crimes against a minor. They are in CA. Can social services take her child because they are in the same home as someone charged with a sex offense?

No, but if he is convicted, things will change dramatically.

You friend is walking in some deep doo doo. i can see once or twice being charged, but 4 sex offense charges ...? your friend needs to pack and run as Fast and as far as possible. right now.
